13th Congressional District Political Debate
On July 1, 2008, the Atlanta Press Club, partnering with Georgia Public Broadcasting, presented a debate between challenger Donzella James (D) and incumbent David Scott (D), candidates for the 13th Congressional district.
The debate was moderated by Helen Neill, WGCL, with panelists, David Zelski (Georgia Public Broadcasting), Tom Baxter (Southern Political Report) and John Hollis (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
You can watch the debate here.

Thanks for putting this one your wonderful site. I had been wanting to see this debate and you made it very easy.
David Scott, did not convince me that he is doing a good job for us in Washington. I am saddened by our sitting congressman's attitude that "might makes right" and that saber rattling is needed for us to be safe. He sounded like he supported the President in many areas and then cries "national security", "National Security". He also voted against the health care bill for children and for the tax cut for the rich. He claims to be a "blue dog Democrat" and that is another problem I have with his positions.
He makes me blue, but not happy.
I thought the Atlanta Press Club put on a good debate between these two candidates. I hope the Atlanta Pres Club will host more debates between now and November and I'll be checking their schedule regularly so I can post links to future debates in the blog.
